Frequently Asked Questions

Visit our homepage and select "BOOK SERVICE". A calendar will then populate with available dates for the services you selected.

If you have two or more dogs, select a day and time, and let us know via email that you will be bringing more than one dog. We will arrange the schedule to have two groomers available.

Booking an appointment is always best. However, we are happy to take walk-ins when we have availability.

Times vary by breed and service - plan on 2 to 4 hours. Express services can be arranged in advance, shortening the time your dog will be in our care.

We offer express services for dogs that require a shorter grooming service due to their age, health or temperament. Please let us know if you need an express appointment in advance of check-in.

We accept cash and all major credit cards.

Groomers and assistant groomers appreciate tips. If you would like to leave a tip, please do so separately.

Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours prior to your scheduled time of service to avoid a $50 cancellation fee. Courtesy notice allows the salon, our groomers, and other clients to book an appointment. Exceptions may be made due to health issues for you or your dog.

We require that dogs are picked up within 30 minutes after notification that grooming is complete. We do not provide daycare. There is a $20 fee per each half hour, or fraction thereof, for late pick-up and a $75 per each half hour, or fraction thereof, for after-hours pick-up.

To maintain a safe, comfortable environment, we require all pets to be current on their rabies vaccinations and to wait at least 48 hours after any vaccinations before checking in. The waiting period helps to ensure your dog isn't sore at the injection site, which can cause irritability or lethargy. This waiting period also is to prevent stressing a dog who may be experiencing an unexpected allergic reaction from a vaccine/vaccination.

Puppies between 8 weeks and 4 months of age may NOT receive services in the salon without vaccinations. We highly recommend the Bordetella vaccine for all dogs prior to grooming.

Health Note: Dogs who have recently been vaccinated, have active infections or have underlying health issues are at higher risk of injury from stress. Senior dogs, those with special challenges, dogs who have recently experienced stressful life changes or injuries are at higher risk of experiencing stress or aggravating a condition during grooming. Keep in mind, stress in dogs can be cumulative, meaning a series of stressful situations can affect a dog’s health and well-being.

We will monitor your dog for coughing, excessive panting, excessive drooling, redness in eyes, loose stools, and signs of stress. If this behavior does not pass after 10 minutes, we will need to reschedule the appointment or recommend a veterinarian who can perform the service.

Booking an appointment is always best. However, we are happy to take walk-ins for nail trims from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Nail trims take about 10 minutes, but if you are a walk-in you may have to wait until we are able to accommodate you.

Grooming prices are based on size, coat condition and length, behavior, and age. Your groomer will assess your dog’s specific needs and give you a quote at check-in.

A puppy's grooming experience starts at home with regular brushing (3 times per week with your puppy sitting quietly for 20 minutes) and advances to professional grooming once all the puppy’s vaccines are complete.

We strive to make the grooming experience both positive and safe for puppies. Puppies will not be given a complete grooming service until they are comfortable in our environment and can sit still. A puppy's first appointment should be for our Signature Bath or Touch Up service.

As dogs age, their grooming should become more frequent to ensure their skin, ears, sanitary area, and nails are maintained. It also helps senior dogs feel more youthful. We recommend senior dogs visit us every 4 weeks for grooming and/or our Signature Bath.

We select the appropriate drying method for each dog based on a variety of factors including hair type, breed, age, and behavior. We do not kennel dry any Brachycephalic dogs. For those dogs we do kennel dry, we do not use kennel dryers with heating elements, and we have safety procedures designed to keep dogs safe. We often combine multiple drying techniques to minimize the drying time and any stress associated with drying. If you have any questions about our procedures or would like to discuss the best drying process for your dog, please be sure to speak with your groomer at check-in.

We are a kennel free salon. However, there are dogs in our care that need to be kenneled or kept separate for their safety or the safety of other dogs.

It is best for safety reasons to allow the groomer to bond with your dog without you present. We do encourage you to visit our salon in advance of your appointment and view our handling and care of dogs.

We never sedate dogs, nor will we accept a dog that has been sedated to include CBD. If your dog has had a behavioral reaction to grooming or bathing in the past, please advise us when making the appointment and when checking-in. If this is the case and we are unable to calm your dog to a safe grooming level, we will end the session. You will only be charged for the grooming service that were performed.

Grooming salons can be a loud, noisy place and may cause stress for some dogs. Be sure to discuss any stress triggers, as well as calming techniques, with your groomer.

Stop by our salon several days before your appointment and introduce your dog to the groomer to acclimate your dog to the activity, smells and sounds of the salon.

Touching your dog’s paws during play so that your dog is not alarmed when the groomer trims the hair between the toes or trims the toenails.

Use common household items to acclimate them to the humming noise of hair clippers and dryers.
